Undoubtedly one of the best laptops out there. – When i bought this laptop I didn’t expect it to be this good. It has 20gb of ram, which is insane for a pc. It runs very smoothly, rarely ever experience any lag. The gaming performance is also amazing. The screen quality is great, videos play very well. Overall amazing piece of technology.

NO CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!! – I had to hurry and purchase a laptop. I bought this one. Not difficult to use, but it has NO CAMERA! This is a totally BAD laptop for that reason. Lots of my work and classes are conducted via ZOOM. Who would have thought that in this day and age a laptop would not have a camera!!!!!!!!

Great buy! – I purchased this laptop for work / internet browsing. It is quite fast and efficient. The keyboard is perfect and comfortable as well as quiet. The only complaint that I have with this laptop is the battery life. I am sure that I could improve that a bit by changing power settings. Asus advertises an 8hr battery life and I am finding that I get more around a 4hr battery life while doing simple office work. I hope that this doesn’t degrade quickly as that would be disappointing. However, for Under $500 I really cannot complain. The touch screen is very responsive and seems to repel fingerprints which is nice. The screen is crisp and beautiful and I am overall very happy with the purchase!

A good buy for the money. – This laptop performs well and doesn’t come loaded with bloatware. The switch from Windows 11s to regular Windows 11 is easy. The display looks good, the keyboard response and back light is good and the touchscreen works excellent. I docked it one star as the battery life on the “Balanced ” power mode is only about 3.5 hours of continuous use.

Super Speedy and Solid – I bought this to replace my former Zenbook. I bought the 20GB Ram version – super speedy – and it has plenty of SSD storage too – and just so you know this is an Asus Vivobook R565E model. Super happy with this laptop – starts right up as soon as I open the lid with absolutely no lag. I’ll admit that I miss my previous ZenBook model’s metal case, but this is still a great laptop for the price. To be honest, it’s a steal and you won’t find another comparable model with these specs on the market in 2022/2023. The screen quality is terrific as well. It seriously has everything you need to be productive online – I have not encountered one single issue. This is the one! Def bookmark this and give it a serious look. Happy hunting!

No Type C Port Video Output Capability – I have been using this laptop for about a month now and it works fairly well for the price and specs. The touch screen (which was absolutely important for me) works well though it’s a tad bit slower to react when scrolling than my previous Lenovo Yoga (i5) laptop, but that is not a big issue for me. What is a HUGE issue for me (hence why I have given this laptop 3 stars instead of 4 or even 5) is that the Type C USB port does not seem to have video output capability. Apparently ASUS is making some laptops without this capability for the Type C ports. Imagine that, in this day and age, there are laptop manufacturers making laptops with Type C USB ports without them having video output capability!!! This has been so disappointing and frustrating because while I could extend to 1 of my monitors via the HDMI port on the laptop I cannot extend to my 2nd monitor via the Type C to HDMI dongle (an issue that I didn’t have with the Lenovo). Thus my productivity while working has been negatively impacted. I don’t know if the problem exists with the Type A USB ports because I don’t have a Type A to HDMI dongle (I’ll probably have to purchase such to find out) but I’m reluctant to spend more on fixing the issue when I’m not even sure that the the Type A USB ports support video output capability. I hope that ASUS is able to produce a ‘fix’ for this soonest so that customers would be able to extend to at least a 2nd monitor via a Type C to HDMI dongle. I also hope that ASUS fully discloses to its customers in the future what each of their laptop models could support or not support. Had this lack of video output capability been disclosed in the specs and/or description of this product when made available for sale, I would NOT have purchased it and would have gone for another brand or model. I have since looked and re-looked and cannot seem to find any such disclosure. So disappointing.

Very Happy – I’ve only had the laptop for a couple of weeks, and am very happy so far. My last laptop was a used HP I bought from Fry’s and it served my well for the last 6 years. This is my firs ASUS and it’s fast, great battery life, image quality is unbelievable. I will probably update my review in about 90 days. Great price and great purchase.
