Solid laptop for the money – If you need a larger screen, this is a solid choice. My only issue is the glossy screen that’s practically a mirror, but I got a screen cover to put over it to fix that. Just something you should beware of. It says, “anti glare screen” but that’s nonsense.

Drains battery too quickly – I purchased the computer and immediately Amazon dropped the price $50. So then I purchased one for my husband, and once again, they dropped it another $50 after the fact. That is annoying, but my biggest frustration is the fact that this thing powers through the battery in no time flat. I started a zoom meeting at 100% charge and 90 minutes later it was down to 43%. In addition, the keyboard is very difficult to read. Overall this is still a good value. But that value comes at a price.

Easy to set up but… – Had a tremendous nerve-wracking time trying to get it out of safe mode.

Excellent laptop – I am not a gamer or a tech guy just needed a second computer. Very pleased with this laptop. Large screen with excellent picture, adequate ports for wired mouse, etc. Holds battery charge well. Very fast processors make it speedy with document loading, downloads etc. I would recommend it for the average user or family who need a laptop. Because of the screen size it’s a bigger unit but still easy to transport.

My second HP Pavilion – I was very happy with my first, so when it failed after nearly 12 years I went for another. It’s still early days with this one, so my overall rating is somewhat cautious. But I preferred the more easily readable keyboard on my old one. I may follow the lead of some other reviewers and look for stickers to apply to keys to help out my aging eyes. I also miss the CD slot. Although I didn’t use it much in the old one, it was nice to have. And this one doesn’t have a touchscreen, btw. Not a problem, but it might be for some. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and have been using it, as I’d hoped, with a sense of familiarity and with no problems. Hoping for another 10-12 years.
