Not a fan – This is our second tablet. First one didn’t function. We had to exchange it multiple times through the warranty program to get a functioning one. It is not particularly user friendly when there is more than one user. It gets stuck a lot. We use the Amazon kids system, but much of what I need to download and have available for them doesn’t show through the interface. Often there is an issue with Amazon kids where nothing is available outside of a few books and videos. I am tech savvy, and have contacted tech support. No one has been able to sort this issue out. When Amazon kids is working, it gives access too far too many “brain garbage” games. Parental controls do not give the option to block games/apps that are part of the Amazon kids app.

Kindle Fire – I love using this. I can either watch a movie or series, read a book (which has a dictionary that will help with words I’ve never seen before), or play games. Great for taking with you when you have to wait like the Drs office

No Bluetooth capabilities for my headphones – Can’t use blue tooth speaker or headphones…..if I’d known that I’d never would of bought a fire ……..who makes stuff that can’t support external sound…..also sound is very tiny like crappy speakers

Decent tablet. But can you lose the Silk browser? – The tablet performs pretty well but frankly, I’d be happier using a Chrome browser. I bought a keyboard case to go with it which helps immeasurably. The speech to text still needs a lot of work, and please get the capitalization and punctuation in line with the 21st century. Still, a decent little product and I’m generally pleased.
