Works – It works just fine, at about 25% of Best Buy price, I found it to be a good deal.

Well Constructed Cables – This is my second “Basics” adapter cable. The 1st one was just a VGA adapter and it fulfilled my needs so perfectly that I bought a DVI adapter to go with my new miniPC and now enjoy much faster, smoother, and flawless video on both my monitors. The cables seem to be well made, utilizing high quality / heavy duty wiring with durable connections and strain relief. Please note: These cables are not suitable for MAC AirBooks, or potentially other laptops with secondary HDMI connections.

Yes, the cable supports 4k with a patch/unlock – As I type this, I am using the cable to display 4k from my DVI-only AMD RX 470 in Windows 11. DVI is normally limited to 1920×1080 in Windows due to the 165 MHz pixel clock limit, and I could only display 1080p resolution by default. I had to download and run the free AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher which removes the clock limit. The author of this software is well-known and trustworthy, and he also has a version that works with nVidia cards. There may also be software out there that patches this limit on built-in Intel video. Note that very old AMD/nVidia cards or the built-in video on Intel CPUs may not support 4k, and no unlock would likely work on them. Please note that you’ll need to reboot after applying the patch and you’ll need to reapply the patch every time you update your video card driver (may happen every few months or never).

Excellent high quality HDMI to DVI cable – Works as it is supposed to. Was able to use on an ASUS motherboard with new 13700 cpu to connect to a slightly older monitor ( Dell ). Worked perfectly and cable is built very sturdy. I got the cable for a good deal as Best Buy wanted nearly 5 times the price. I would highly recommend.

Does the job – No connection issues, good picture (my screen is only 1080p60, so I didn’t load test this. As a good cable, I forgot I’m using it.

Just a cable – Works well, no issues what so ever. Basic DVI to HDMI cable. I updated my gaming rig and use and older dell monitor for my secondary monitor. New graphics card doesn’t have DVI port, prior I used a DVI to DVI on my old rig. The most interesting part of getting this new cable (to me) was the thickness. My old DVI to DVI from 2015 Amazon Basics was very thick, this DVI to HDMI in 2022 is way thinner. Just interesting, I have zero clue why or if it affects the quality of the signal. I honestly cant tell.
