Great for what it’s worth – Came in today a day early, super satisfied for this laptop for what it’s worth. Keep in mind it is refurbished, do not buy if you’re not okay with a few minor flaws given my and other posted reviews. In the pictures the flaws are shown, there are two light colored patches on both sides of the mouse, as well as two Y keys (duplicated Y key still correctly types the correct letter T). Other than those two flaws it is beautiful and works amazingly. I knew what I was getting myself into and it was completely worth it.

Works great, looks like new…minus the small chip in the screen – Honestly, I was happy with this purchase, considering it is refurbished and it looks like new. My only disappointment is a very small chip in the top right corner of the screen. Still, I would recommend this product.

Plan to purchase multiple – I purchased two of these MacBook Pro 2017 with Touch Bars and both were duds, let me explain. The first I purchased just this year in 2022 July, received promptly, and immediately noticed flaws. Paint was beginning to peel from some keys but that was not nearly as bad as the problem with the sticky keys! Now I am fully aware of Apple’s Butterfly 2 keyboard issues (which this MacBook featured), but this had multiple sticky keys and keys that were not fully responsive. Right out of the box! The screen was in good condition however and the MacBook powered on well. I was able to easily run my work applications (Teams, Slack, Chrome, Firefox) simultaneously without an issue. It was great because I could connect this with my iPad wirelessly as a second touchscreen display. I contacted the seller who wouldn’t offer a replacement, so I ordered a second model and planned to return the first when it arrived. Today the second model arrived and this one had much worse cosmetic damage to it. Cracks along the corners of the display panel, and mystery liquid stains. There was also an issue powering on this display but after continuously holding power key, I was able to get the display on. For sure won’t be keeping either of these unfortunately. Buyer beware!

Give a book a new cover, it still reads the same – So here’s what you need to know. These Renewed macbook are exactly what you should expect a used MacBook Pro 2017 with the Touch Bar. Although you are getting a clean Macbook it’s still used. So when your considering the long term performance of these units you have to take into consideration this was someone’s work machine before you. Yes they are clean, yes they have good keyboard. But internally they are still used it’s a gamble at a good value. I got a MacBook with a small nick on the frame that’s kinda shape and a small dent on the top of the case. Nothing a Dbrand skin couldn’t cover up and keep out of sight. But the battery had 650 cycles on it. For a 2017 MacBook it’s understandably but know that those internal components are still used. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get one that had a battery replaced. I didn’t I just look into how to take care of your macbook and consider paying for replacement items. It’s a gamble you’re either in or out.

Battery life SUCKS. Laptop good. – I edit a lot but the battery life only lasts 20-30 mins at 100% so the battery life SUCKS. Everything else runs amazing. Does get VERY hot if it’s not elevated. Can’t just sit in your lap bc the vents are at the bottom.

There is only 4 thunderbolt ports on the computer (no USB ports-you will need to buy an adapter for about 10.00/Amazon) and one port will be taken up by the power cord. The computer itself works fantastic. I opened the lid it turned on automatically, when I entered my apple information it started to download everything from the cloud. Super easy to use, ran the software update and it is current as if it is a brand new MacBook Pro!! Would buy again would recommend and already have.
