Good MacBook for the price, meets your basic needs – For the price, this 9 year old MacBook meets my basic needs. I wanted something to check my emails and watch YouTube videos, and even though its a pretty old model there are barely any scratches on the laptop and its running the latest software (Big Sur). When its not connected to an outlet the battery will last me a few hours, I will probably try to replace it with a new battery later one. The video quality and speakers are decent, and the laptop automatically connects with my newer AirPods without a problem. Im only giving a 4-star review because I ordered a laptop with 8gb of ram and received one with 4gb, but there is no significant lag so I’ll probably keep this one until it stops working.

A Review worth reading…IMO – We bought this knowing we had a 50/50 chance of getting awesomeness or not awesomeness. As you are reading the reviews, they do seem hit and miss and who knows the details behind the purchases. Were the expectations not realistic? Was there some confusion in the whole process? Who knows, but here is what we can share: After a number of times being ghosted by local craigslist sellers of MacBook Airs (between $250-$700 and 2013-2018) we decided to try through Amazon. Computer speak is mostly a foreign language to me so I told my husband what I would like and he took it from there. I run a small business and I do volunteer work for a school. This means mostly light data base entry, some squarespace web work, emails, pictures and light editing, document editing and creation, etc.

Great for the money – I ordered 2 laptops at the same time. They arrived in great shape but did not come with chargers after it stated it would. This was resolved pretty quickly after getting in contact with the seller who expedited them to me.
