Works perfectly for Thunderbolt 1 & 2 to Thunderbolt 3 – I have an older Apple Display 30″ and a new 2021 Macbook Pro 16″. The display was great with my 2012 Macbook Pro and I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to use it with the new one. This cable did the trick and I’m back in business with dual monitors. I wasn’t able to find any support for this so I gave it a try and thankfully my problem was solved.

Works, but not in my case – I purchased this thinking I could use my thunderbolt 2 port in my 2015 (Late) model Apple 27 to activate my Anker Port expander. Didn’t work in that application, it would work if you were adding an extra monitor, so may come in handy in the future, only time will tell.
