Very Happy!!! – As advertised it is hard to find another Lap that sports the i7 12 gen CPU with the 4k monitor for the price (it has moved up 135.00 since I purchased mine). All the other features are standard. It is too soon to rate the battery life. This is the second Asus for me. Love the first and it will continue to be used. But this new is really wow!!!. I write software professionally and tend to run programs that are cpu hogs, so far good.

Not enough unfortunately. – I bought this laptop initially because it was the cheapest 12700h processor laptop on the market and it included a beautiful 4k screen. Seemed to be too good of a deal, and it was. while the processor is great, the screen is great, and the body design/keyboard are all great. The graphics processor is seriously lacking, like, seriously lacking. This computer does not come with it’s own graphics card and instead uses Intel Iris Xe and man that thing sucks, it sucks so hard. I looked it up beforehand and everyone said I’d be fine but windows @4k seriously chugs with this thing. It’s not smooth, it’s not fast, any website with serious graphics requirements will lag with this laptop, even going through the file system in windows is clunky.

ASUS Vivobook ≠ Zenbook – The 4K UHD+ OLED display alone is worth the money. It features one of the clearest screens I’ve ever used on a laptop. The laptop has integrated graphics with an refresh rate of 60 Hz. The i7-12700H processor is also top of the line. There aren’t too many other brands out there with this screen along with the i7 12th gen processor for $1200.

The OLED Screen and Intel 12th Gen I-7 is a killer Combo. – I bought this ASUS Vivobook 16X F1603ZA for the OLED Display Quality and the Intel Speed. I am blown away. My first computer was an Apple II, so you know we have come a long, long way. The performance of this ASUS eclipses almost everything else we have except my year old I-7 desktop with a GTX3070. The WiFi6 is running at 287Mbps and at least as fast my ‘plugable.com’ USB3 – Ethernet adapter, so I don’t miss or use the wire at all. Fingerprint sensor works adequately and pretty much every time. Audio is MEH but the jack drives headphones fine. Yes in CAD 3D rendering takes a second or two but it works with little hesitation and keep in mind its a 4K+ 16:10 screen that is being refreshed. At 280 some pixels per inch the display is cleared than a printed sheet. I’m not a gamer, so that is not my interest, but a portable CAD machine on which I can confidently render designs anywhere for my clients on occasion is just an absolute win. The AMAZON once-in-a-lifetime bargain price at 20% off retail was stunning, too. Thanks, AMAZON and Merry Christmas to me.
