Great laptop, worked well right out of the box. Very good value. – We use this for business consultations with clients. Screen size and resolution is great for showing clients their space plans. The new Windows platform is easy to use. Very good investment for us. They even offer a 90 day warranty extension for doing a review!

Description – The description said it was backlit. It NOT. Since I have a little seeing that’s why I bought it. Very disappointed

There isn’t enough contrast between the gray lettering and the silver keys. – I just received this computer and have not even set it up yet. I did immediately notice the letters and numbers to be difficult to read. Even with a table lap nearby, the letters blur out by the time you reach the middle of the keyboard. I might try some black shoe polish and hope the color sinks into the letters and numbers. I’m sure once I begin to use it I will get adjusted to it but the picture on Amazon shows darker lettering than what the actual Keyboard is. MORE TO COME…

If you want to see your keyboard get another laptop – It’s incredibly hard to read the keys unless you are in direct sunlight, or shine a light directly onto the keyboard. Not sure why the went with a light grey color on silver keys. If you are in lower lighting goodluck. I do know how to type without looking at the keys, but if I need to use a shortcut key or key I don’t use often I literally have to get out a flashlight to see what I’m doing. REAAAAALLLLY bad product design. I get they were going for a look, but look should NOT override function at this price point. A darker grey or a lighted keyboard would have gone a long way. The computer isn’t bad, but this one point is enough to make it harder to use.

Great computer, battery life isn’t expandable – Love this computer. The only reason for one less star is the battery life. I would of liked an expandable option for a longer life battery. This doesn’t have it. You get what you see. Have to put it on a lower use mode so the battery life lasts longer. That’s all. No big deal. This laptop should last me ten t. I’m not hard on my stuff.

The Ram is Amazing – I’ve always had superb luck with ASUS computers. My last one is at least 6-7 years old and only had like 4G of ram. Sadly, it was undeniably at end of life. Battery shot, charging port starting to short out and most noticeable of all, the CPU just couldn’t do it anymore. Task manager always showed CPU at 100% for pretty much all tasks. Found this computer with 20G or ram at a very reasonable price and wow, what a difference!
