yeah, battery life is unacceptable – Bought this cause I loved the look and feel, screen, I/O ports and value for what I got. The battery life just didn’t cut it. I’ll have to return this.

no touch screen – This is the third Asus laptop that I ordered in a month. Two were Vivobooks, and they were supposed to come with the touch pad 2.0 as advertised in the listing information. They did not come with the touch pad.

Great Computer, Big Zenbook Fan – I am a fan of the Zenbook line of computers, and this laptop was a significant upgrade from my older model. I am writing this review after using this laptop for the past seven weeks. The 12th Gen i7 processor is super powerful, at times this can mean the computer runs a little hot. Overall, this computer has met all of my needs as a student, including demanding tasks such as coding with R or multitasking with zoom meetings and multiple programs running simultaneously. These abilities speak to the computer’s RAM- which unfortunately is soldered on and not upgradable, though I have had little trouble with the built in 16GB. It is also great that this computer supports wifi 6E. This computer has never died on me during a school day or really ever been close to running out of power except when I use it on the highest brightness in performance mode for computational tasks- on balanced settings, which are all I need most of the time, the battery life on this computer is good.

Bitlocker did not allow me to use the computer – I like the computer but for some weird reason there was no bitlocker key associated with it and when I was asked to provide one to unlock the encrypted HDD, I was unable to. Luckily, I had not important data saved cuz the only way out would have been reformatting the computer. ASUS customer service could not help at all. Returned immediately
