The Keyboard was garbage – The wireless keyboard didn’t work at all from the first day, so we had to buy a new one. The keyboard and mouse are not from Dell, they are cheap Chinese one.

They promise a “delivered by” date that they cannot follow through on. – The Dell Optiplex 7060 was a very nice computer that I ordered for a client. Packaged extremely well and looks brand new. A couple of issues with it turning off by itself. The BIOS and Firmware needed updating. Afterward there were no more issues. I tried to purchase another one exactly like it for myself. They promise a “delivered by” date that they are not able to follow through on. This seems to be a regular business practice for them. They should not promise such a prompt delivery. It is very disappointing to receive delay notices everyday, so I cancelled the order. If you order from them do not expect your item on time.

But wait! There’s more . . . and less! – First off, the machine arrived in a timely manner, packaged well enough, but without a manual or “Getting Started” sheet. Setup was done as seamlessly as possible, and I’m up and running with it, pleased enough with its initial performance. However, a few gripes: First off, in the item’s description, it not-so-clearly states “Condition: New.” Not so. In looking at tags and labels on the outside of the case, two stickers I found said, essentially, “Assembled in Mexico, 2018.” OK. The thing is, the machine is running Win 11 Pro with a 1TB SSD, neither of which were to be found then. (It does say the SSD is “new.” That’s nice.) I don’t know for sure if it’s not a used machine that was reconditioned, or, perhaps, a “never used” machine that had an updated OS and drive added? Anyway, a few of other things: in the item’s description, it says how there are 4 USB ports, 1 3.0, 2 2.0 (?) and one Type C, barely enough for my needs, but not a deal breaker. What I found when I got the machine really surprised me, on the BACK there were six additional USB ports – 4 3.0 among them! Wow!!! That would have been nice to know out front, but, alas, there was no mention of that, nor was there even a picture of the machine’s back at all – not good! (The machine’s back did, of course, have other jacks and connectors, as expected, but no mention of exactly which ones in the item’s description.) Another beef, I was amazed that there wasn’t a slot for SD photo memory cards, an unfortunate omission IMO. The one other thing that disturbed me was actually the machine’s Amazon listing in general, a lot of inconsistencies between the “description” and “specs” etc. And lastly, on the item’s page, it said “Last one, buy now!” Or, some such statement. So, I bought it. Despite me getting the “last one,” on reviewing my order later, the item was still listed, and it still said “The last one!” Bottom line, I think the machine is what I had hoped for, so we’ll see how it goes. But, sorry for all of the nonsense with misinformation. (PS: the wireless mouse and keyboard and the “huge” mouse-pad will be finding a new home asap.)
