Not bad for school – Got this to hook up to TV for entertainment/school work. Peppy lil system, takes up little space. The included mouse and keyboard did not work and I didn’t find the tiny wifi adapter until a month later and I had already bought one. Don’t expect high end performance, but it is a solid pc.

Good cheap computer for internet surfing and office applications. – Purchased in December 2021. As of today the supplied SSD (Kingfast? never heard of them) is getting flakey – works in another computer but not this one. Purchased a new SSD here on Amazon, copied data from old SSD to new one and we’re back running. Took off one star for the failed no-name SSD.

Great system for application – I have to say I was a bit nervous about the purchase given a review about bugs (literally insects in the packaging), and a few mentions of components that didn’t work or failed, but ordered it anyway.

Two years Two months running hard almost 24/7……Dead – Overall I think this was a great buy for the price 2 years ago when i bought it and i do not regret it. (dying gave me a chance to buy another referb with faster/newer hardware) I bought this to build a cheap gaming rig (IT DID THE JOB VERY WELL UNTILL I SAVED FOR A REAL GAMING RIG) I pushed it to the limit with the stock power supply by installing a GTX 1650 a SSD and more ram. The computer ran /Gammed almost flawlessly up until yesterday when it started suddenly shutting down after running for 2 to 3 minutes after the latest win 10 update. when testing the rig with the bios hardware check utility the computer did the same shutdown right after the hardware and memory tests were completed saying everything was healthy Kind of funny it would get a clean bill of health and shutdown for no reason GOTTA LOVE DELL FOR USLESS UTILITIES lol. I replaced the Power supply with a bigger one and the computer still did the shutdown sequence (problem is not power supply). when turning back on the things i had open on my screen were still there. power settings are set to to never hibernate sleep or shut off and to only shut off the monitor after 1 hours

Good computer – This computer seems to be a good little computer for my use. The only issue I had was that the external wifi was not adequate to handle my needs. I had to purchase a better external wifi.

Magical Mystery Computer Demystified – If you’re considering this computer, you’re like me – looking for a fast Intel i7 processor with reasonable memory (16 Mb), a new SSD drive (500 Mb) and Windows 10 Pro at a good price. This computer has that, but there are a LOT of caveats. I’m a retired IT manager with plenty of experience sourcing and purchasing computers, but I agonized over this one and for good reason. Buying a refurbished computer is risky, and I read the reviews carefully, good and bad, which almost put me off, but I took the plunge anyway. It came four days ago in a plain box, clean inside the box and inside the computer. The keyboard box was crunched and a few keycaps had come off, but they went back on and the keyboard worked. But it was a cheap, mushy Mixie (?) brand and was the first thing I replaced. I had also ordered a decent HP V223ve monitor and since the computer only has VGA and DisplayPort video connectors, I bought an Amazon Basics DP to HDMI cable with my fingers crossed. Booting the computer, the monitor setup worked as hoped and the Windows setup went as expected. One of the first things I installed was Google Chrome and my heart sank when it threw up a “Memory Management” blue screen error. However, the computer rebooted, installed Windows updates and I haven’t had an error since. It took the rest of the day to configure Windows to my liking, install essential programs and transfer my files from my previous (slow) laptop. This computer is VERY fast and responsive and the Windows 10 experience is finally tolerable. Once set up and running I had time to examine the details of this machine. Going to the Dell website, I let the Support Assistant examine the computer. A bit of a shock as it listed it as originally shipping on 10/03/2011 and End-of-Service life was 10/03/2016! An eleven-year-old computer! I somehow assumed (!) this was a recently returned and refurbished machine. Intel even lists this processor as unsuitable for Windows 10, so I’m not sure how it’s running as well as it is. Unfortunately, I bought this for video editing on a budget, but the free Davinci Resolve won’t run on it, not recognizing the supposedly integrated GPU, and a video/GPU card is probably out of the question as there is only a 240W power supply in this machine. On the plus side, there are ten USB ports, 6 in the rear and four in front, the DVD drive works fine and did I mention it is FAST? I’m going to hold my breath for the first 90 days of warranty coverage, hoping that if the computer does fail, it will be in that time period – extended coverage probably would have been a wise addition. As always, caveat emptor, folks.

Great Computer, i7 – Excellent Computer at a good price. Renewed it allows me to buy and save money and keep it from going to a dump.
