Skeptical at first but happy in the end – I was very skeptical about buying a laptop online but, it’s what my daughter has been wanting for Christmas for years. So, I shopped around and kept watching prices and finally stumbled across this one somewhat on accident. It was exactly what she wanted and was writing my price range (also had more RAM than the others I was looking at!) so I made the purchase. The device arrived sooner than I had expected and was packaged very well. I powered it on and started making sure everything was working properly. I thought the track pad didn’t work at first because I’ve never used an apple laptop and didn’t realize you can’t just tap on it… (my daughter said it was because I’m old and don’t know how technology works…) but, once I got that figured out I was extremely impressed with the device. It was super fast and easy to use. I got everything set up for her except for her icloud account because I didn’t want her phone to get notified of a new device and then I charged it up for her to open on Christmas. One nice surprise I found was that the laptop I ordered was supposed to be a 1.6GHz i5 processor, instead, we received a 2.2GHz i7 processor! I was not going to complain about that! There were a couple tiny scratches on the outside of the device but you really had to look for them to find them.

Good So Far. – I’ve been using this laptop for 2 days now and everything seems to be going well so far! When i was first ordered this laptop, i was very skeptical due to many of the reviews being so negative, saying that the laptop came broken, or that it was iCloud locked, or school locked. It was just very difficult so i was very eerie when it was being delivered to me. When i got the product, to my surprise it was as if it was brand new! Literally nothing wrong with the laptop, except for a few things!

Good So Far. – I’ve been using this laptop for 2 days now and everything seems to be going well so far! Operating system installation was impossible as is. I had a friend help to bypass the culprit. – OS installation was a nightmare. after choosing the language and so, the installation repeatedly stopped at a point trying to access the server of the school that originally owned the laptop, but never got through. With the help of a friend, I erased the HDD (SSD) and installed a recent version of MAC OS from a USB thumb drive. The screen hinges are a bit loose with a play of about 10 degrees. There is a dent in one of the corners of the top plate and a dent and scratches in the bottom.

Clean refurbished unit. Very fast – Battery life is very short. Barely get through one classes worth of assignments before I have to recharge. But the computer, being refurbished, is in great condition and very fast processing. They sent an aftermarket charger cord that worked exactly once. And they had to send me another one. But in the meantime I had to buy one as I had assignments do. So this purchase cost me extra.

If it wasn’t for the almost imperceptible nick on the top of the case just above the Apple logo, I would think this was new. Battery arrived with 89% capacity remaining. I was going to replace it right away but I think I’ll wait and see how it goes. So glad I ordered it.
