Best Purchase Ever! LOL – I was reluctant to purchase a pad for my 4 year old granddaughter, but I crumbled. When we would have her over night and she was allowed time on EDUCATIONAL games, she would get frustrated when notifications came popped up on my phone. She was so cute and would say…with a sigh…”It’s my mom again!” and hand me the phone. Or it was work or other individuals popping up. She quickly learned how to swipe them away…lol Now, we can sit together and play on her pad together and not be interrupted. Love the protective cover, how I can control settings and only I can download apps. I also bought a larger SD card. We read stories at night together when it is time to wind down.

A great tablet for younger kids – We have two previous generations of Fire HD 8 Kids tablets (2017, 2019), my experience has been they tended to get bogged down performance wise with increasing stability issues after roughly a year, so I was initially hesitant getting the newer model (2020, yeah I know it’s already 2022). By now, the 2017 was near unusable, and the 2019 was also painfully slow and often requiring restarts to work properly. When this model went on sale again I decided to give it another try and I’m glad I did.

My son loves it but it take a long time to charge – My son loves this tablet the battery last about 4-5 hours of constant playing. It takes a very long time to charge completely but Amazon does sell a fast charger that I will purchase and try. I love the parent controls I have it set to where my son can’t download anything without my approval. He hates that he has to wait but I love that i can approve and deny from my phone. He has all kinds of books downloaded and since having it has helped him to the point to where he is reading alone now. You can also add apps that you want them have like Hulu Netflix and regular YouTube from your parent account. It’s great the perfect tablet for a child. I highly recommend!

Perfect for my 2 yr old son – My son loves this tablet and he now leaves my phone alone. The case is so protective, he has thrown ot many times and it has not broke the screen is perfect size for him and responds easily when he touches it the picture quality is nice, and the speakers work great even through the thick case it’s in. He love that he can use the stand to hold it up that’s attached to the case. The battery lasts a long time with him playing it constantly. This makes an awesome gift.
