Refurbished but very good – I bought one of these this spring and was upset to find that it was refurbished, as it was listed as new. However, decided to try it out and loved it. On July 17-18, our home was destroyed by a flash flood, we lost everything including our cars. The computer was destroyed. I ordered a second one and am very pleased with it. Exactly as described, other than being new. Great deal for your money.

It works and does what it is supposed to. – I needed to replace my 5 year old HP with a lower level AMD chip. I also needed a DVD burner to finish producing DVDs for a friend. This unit has one built in and it works well. Eliminating the DVD burner and player in the newer computers may be great for people in the “city” where you can stream ‘wicked’ fast. However those of us with older technology without cell service much less internet capability available everywhere, this device allows the playing and producing DVDs, reading camera SD cards without having to look for a dongle for this attachment and another dongle for that attachment. (Sorry APPLE I am not happy with you and having to have all this stuff dandling off of the laptop).

HP not helpful with issues – The computer power cord didn’t work. So after the setup it finally showed battery down and then you find the charger/power supply doesn’t work. No way to see battery icon before completing setup. Amazon points you to HP, then HP says its out of warranty but I’ve only had it 1 day. Purchased power cord instead of returning. Won’t purchase HP again.
