For my 5 year old – My five-year-old started kindergarten this year and they use chrome books for the I ready program which is reading and math and she has her own Chromebook at school and I wanted to get her one for home so she continue her education with reading and math. I played with it for a brief time because it’s going to give it to her for Christmas and set it all up. Very easy set up and it should work just perfectly for five year old great value for the money so far

Gets the job done! – For the price, ya can’t beat it! I needed a laptop just for typing stories on (author) so I didn’t want to spend a ton of money. I ordered this model refurbished one evening and it arrived the next morning! Upon first turning the laptop on, I felt a little overwhelmed bc it wants to teach you everything and walk you through a ton of things while speaking it all to you, not just giving prompts on the screen. I went through the process for a few mins before looking for a way to skip it lol. I noticed when I began clicking on things and moving the cursor around, the laptop was speaking everything to me still! It took me a while but I was able to finally figure out how to turn off that voice! For example, when I clicked on Google, the laptop said loudly “OPENING GOOGLE!” Then I searched a website and when it loaded the laptop began reading the entire web page details to me! Although annoying to me, this would be a great tool for people with struggling vision. Aside from that, this laptop has many features I found amazing! I use my hotspot on my phone to run the internet on my laptop, and the laptop actually synced itself with my phone! So all of my login information and saved passwords were readily accessible! My phone and laptop are essentially one two devices with one mind. Furthermore, while using my laptop, all of my incoming text messages appear right on my laptop screen. So I’m able to read and respond to people while I’m working on my laptop. Pretty cool. I purchased it for writing stories, but I ended up using it for so much more! From social media, shopping, web browsing, listening to music, and watching movies and shows! I will add that even though the annoying robot voice shouts out everything you do when that setting is on, the speakers actually aren’t loud at all. You will need a Bluetooth speaker for watching things or listening to music. I watch Prime And Netflix on this laptop running off my cell phone’s hotspot, and the screen is very clear and high resolution. Just like watching a small TV screen. Just make sure you have a secondary speaker unless your listening in a dead silent atmosphere lol
