With Refurbish, the reseller is as important than the product. – The off-brand power adapter failed out of the box. This seems to be a common problem for the company. However I reported it to them and they sent a genuine HP adapter as a replacement. All is good,

Best Refurbished Laptop that I have ever bought – I needed a basic good laptop for my media needs. I have a lot of music and am a nature photographer. I wanted something that I could use to setup for use with iTunes and Adobe. I also wanted something that would be a light laptop for travel. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money as this is just essentially a travelling media server.

With Linux Mint 20 as the OS it’s great. – It took me a little while and a few tries to get it to boot off USB. Once I had that sorted out, I installed Linux Mint 20. Never bothered with what was pre-installed since Windows is of absolutely no use to me. Everything I need is included or readily available with Linux Mint and updates take less than 5 minutes on average a couple times a week unlike the sometimes weekend long miseries of Windows updates. … and I can continue to work while the updates are being applied. Easy peasy. I would have given it 5 stars all around if Linux had come pre-installed. And mine does not have the touch screen so no rating there.

It gets hot quick – I’ve had this laptop for about two weeks? So far it seems to be running okay. I play the sims 4 with ALOT of CC and MODs. BUT I’ve noticed that the laptop gets hot after about an hour or two of use. NOT every time I use it. Just every once in awhile. Besides that it’s working okay! One more thing. it doesn’t have the code I need for windows 10 even though it’s supposed to. So make sure you look to see if yours is there.

A good laptop for the money – This laptop has met my expectations. I’m loving the backlit keyboard. I went from an 17″ laptop to this 14″. Wasn’t sure that part I would be happy with, but I actually like it since I mainly use it when I’m sitting in my recliner. It’s a very nice laptop. Very happy with it.

Price was good, delivery was late, screen is useless for photography work… – Unit was clean and newish looking upon arrival. But the unit was delivered after the due date and this was via A-Prime. This created a MAJOR headache and additional cost for me and this is now the second (and last time) I buy a refurbished anything from Amazon.
