VERY NICE COMPUTER… – I LOVE this computer! The touchscreen is a good option, although I prefer using a mouse. I don’t do heavy gaming, so I can’t speak to that specific topic, but the monitor image quality is great for my purposes. I use my computer for web-surfing, YouTube videos, Office applications, Printshop, Hallmark Card Studio, email, Jacquie Lawson e-cards and Advent calendars, Microsoft games, and desktop publishing. I have had absolutely no difficulty with any of these programs and applications.

Mouse and keyboard stopped working – Everything worked great until about about a year after my purchase, when the mouse wheel stopped working, and then today the keyboard suddenly stopped working. I called HP but they couldn’t identify a solution. Since it’s been over one year since my purchase and since I didn’t buy the extended warranty (I’ve had HP products for years and never needed one until now), my only option is to buy a new mouse and keyboard. They transferred me to the HP store, where I learned — HP doesn’t sell them in white! So I’m just using the black mouse and laptop from my old HP, and now have a mismatched monitor. I’ve been a loyal HP customer for a long time, but I’ll think twice before buying another HP product in the future.

Great features, but keyboard sucks! – After my third day trying to work my way around this new computer, I am ready to give up on it and return it. In particular, I couldn’t reconcile my biases with the keyboard style. I have big hands, which makes it clumsy for me. In addition, it has no F-keys. How can a keyboard have no F-Keys? Worse of all is this computer came with no instructions about the equipment configuration, camera location, on-switch, how to insert batteries into the mouse, etc. In any case, I figured out some of these things after tinkering around with it. However, regarding the F-keys, it could be there are ways to emulate them but no instructions were provided to that effect. What’s a man got to do? Much as I hate to have to return it, I can’t abide the thought of living with these negative aspects into the unforeseeable future.

Impressive, Only disappointment is Chinese made – I’m in love. I had been using an old HP all in one for my business for the last six years. It only had 4gigs of Ram and an old processor. I had become accustomed to waiting 30 seconds-1 minute for the computer to process simple Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (classic) processes. After installing both programs on this computer, it handles ALL processes as quick as lightening. With a whopping 16GB of ram and the new Intel Core I7 processor, Its amazing to see Photoshop (the full version) load in literally 2 seconds, or to turn the computer on and have it ready to go in a matter of seconds. What a luxury! Everything seems solidly constructed. I actually like the fact the screen isn’t adjustable, as it feels more solid/safe this way. Being some one that prefers to sit in a higher chair rather than a low to the ground office chair, it doesn’t bother me. Just get the right size chair and you won’t be “looking up” at the screen as others have complained.
