Lasted a week – I bought it to do my 2020 taxes with Turbo Tax. It arrived with cardboard like egg crate packaging. (Okay, so hp’s Are known for being built like military tanks.) I unpack and the media drive player doesn’t open to accept my Turbo Tax disc. I fiddled with it and got that freed up. I did my tax and loaded up my Fed Tax info sending it to the IRS. I waited a week to send off my state as I was going to have to send a payment. I went to load the system (after several days of performing quite well surfing the Internet) and I get a disc error. I followed online instructions to free this up. Finally I get past this error and I get another error that the computer cannot read my hard drive (ide device) and therefore the computer cannot run the operating system Win 10 or or boot start up like normal. I tried accessing the boot menu and the system still didn’t load. I tried contacting the vendor days ago and I have gotten no response. Rather than be out a computer I ordered a Western Digital lap top style hard drive to replace the defective Seagate unit for $20. with free shipping from Amazon. I chose a different brand than the HP original as EBay is full of refurbed Seagate units leading me to believe this may be the weak link. I paid $159. and the system performed for a week. If my Western Digital fix does the job I’ll be fine. Cheap computer, cheap components from China, added up to disappointing results. Time to clean the rind off this lemon and make it reliable. In my mind I’d like to see a credit back from the seller for my trouble but it seems I am on the “got his money so pay no mind” list. Caveat emptor refurbs

Great PC for the price! – It’s a great PC for the price, you’ll have to get an hdmi adapter and a wifi adapter but it’s well worth it. For gaming, it can handle low end indie games well, but anything more starts lagging. You can optimize it and it plays a lot better, but not enough for any big titles or AAA games

Doesnt come ready to go – Says it comes with genuine Microsoft windows pre installed. It in fact, is not.

Overall ideal – But I found that there is a shortcoming that the two HDMI plugs d not operate normally.

An impactful punch for minimal bucks – I am delighted with the performance of this micro tower PC. It does what I need: runs Blue Iris cam software and a media server without much stress and strain. I am happy with my $75 purchase. While the device cannot run Win 11 w/o modification the three-plus years of Windows support still justify the small monetary outlay. Also, it’s low power draw is welcomed too. I max out around 20 watts under heavy load and around 12 or so when more-or-less idle. Works and has been solid since launched 2 weeks ago.

High quality refurbishment – I was very pleasantly surprised by the condition of this refurbished HP mini-desktop, spotlessly clean on the inside and only one very light scratch on the underside. The 8gb RAM is in two 4gb sticks which gives dual channel memory, another nice surprise. The 500gb disk is quite slow – as expected – so I replaced it with an inexpensive SSD. It has plenty of CPU grunt to run Plex server software and can easily support multiple transcoding streams and does this silently. You won’t be playing any AAA games on this rig as the HD 4600 graphics chip is not designed for it but it does play HD videos without a hitch. There are no slots available for upgrading the video card however.
