My Main computer – I liked the keyboard & the picture quality is awesome. I’m got it in hopes of finding a part time work at home job. Lightweight and very sleek looking. Screen blinks off & on when booted up but shutting it down and powering back up seems to stop that

Great Laptop, VERY POOR SHIPPING – When the computer was delivered the shipping box rattled. NO packing between the computer box and the shipping box. Luckly the computer booted up and works with no problems. It could have been really bad.

Good value, large screen, lightweight – I needed a workhorse computer for working on documents, paying bills, emails, social media, etc. No gaming or engineering software or anything crazy like that. This computer was at a good price point and had good reviews, so I bought. It came yesterday, I spent a few hours getting it all set up. I love the 1 TB storage. Microsoft “S Mode” was new to me, once I learned I couldn’t use Adobe, Chrome or Google Earth with it, that was a no-go for me, so I switched out of it. Switching was not hard to do. I installed my favorite softwares and they all work fine. Speed is fine, even for large file transfers. It came with 1 month free of MS Office, then it’s $99.99 per year after that (ugh but I will pay it cause they have you in a corner on this one). The screen is larger than I anticipated. The default screen resolution was way too small for me. I had to do some adjusting to get the super tiny print a little larger. I was able to connect to a bluetooth printer and my home network with no issues. I still haven’t lost connectivity a day later. The keyboard is not backlit (doesn’t bother me), there is a number pad on the right-hand side (nice to have). The power button is a keyboard key, up above the backspace…thought that was weird but hasn’t been an issue once I found it. My last comment…because of how big the screen is, this won’t fit in my old laptop bag, so I’ll have to buy a new bag – I didn’t factor that in to my purchase price, wish I could have anticipated that. Otherwise, a great buy and has met all my expectations.

This computer does not have a backlit keyboard – The computer, in general, is nice. But a big factor, NO BACKLIT KEYBOARD!!! Read a review with a comment about the nice backlit keyboard…. I bought this computer for my husband. Copied his files from his old computer over and the first time he goes to use it…..NO BACKLIT KEYBOARD! Disappointing. I would like to return and get a different model with a backlit keyboard, but it sounds like they won’t let me. Very disappointed…….

So far it’s great – So far this computer is serving me well. I wish it had a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, but I was aware it wasn’t included. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the weight. It is very heavy!

Very fast and a beautiful display – The HP Pavilion 17.3″ FHD IPS Laptop appears to be a very nice machine (only had it for a couple of weeks). It is very fast. The 17 inch screen is beautiful. The only “fault” is the touchpad which comes way too sensitive. Worked with HP and got it to be better. By the way HP support was outstanding. Be careful to check the “System” page to see if you are in S mode. The ad said it shipped in S mode but after a couple of hours and working with HP we found that it was not shipped in S mode. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.
