First Time Mounting A Monitor, Easy Peasy! – As the title says, this was my first time mounting a monitor. Actually I have never mounted anything! I usually keep my monitors on their stand or TV’s on a console.

MSI Optix G272 owners BEWARE – This review is incomplete at the time of writing- just set it up, but the first thing is that the mounting plate does not fit into my monitors mount port, my monitor is an MSI Optix G272. I tried wedging it in there at first, thinking this tight squeeze might work, it doesnt. Dont hurt your monitor trying if yours is like mine. Use the spacers that are included and the longer screws, then in my case i added nuts found in my garage on all of them, with the top nuts being skinnier since those bolts dont end up being tight on their slots.

Exactly As Described – I bought the M1 Mac as soon as it came out, not realizing I could buy one without a stand and just mount it that way (Hindsight 20/20). So that is why you will see the little stand and the extra attachments to the back of my computer. Now that that’s said, this arm is great. Pretty easy to install and worth the money. Tightening and loosening is pretty simple, but it’s not as high off of the desk as I was hoping for. I was attempting to eyeball how high the computer would be based off of the pictures and dimensions, and I need it to be like four inches higher (I’m 5’10”), but I’m not complaining. I use a standing desk and I cannot be looking down all day long. This has helped with that and kept me from resorting to the wooden box I was using previously. Not wanting my Mac to just fall off the desk one day, I felt a lot safer with something mounted to the desk.

A Very Good Product – I was a bit surprised, and pleased too, by the quality of this modestly priced device. The fit and finish are outstanding. Set-up is troubling only if you’re mechanically challenged. I’m not. The instructions are comprehensive, but take a close reading. So that’s fun. The arm works smoothly and easily, once the individual adjustments are made. I feel free to recommend this HUANUO product.
