Screen Froze – The laptop is light weight, but at what cost of construction. I needed a laptop that is going to last. These so called high end laptops. cost as much as a nice high end smart TV, which can do the same thing. This LG Gram 17″ laptop started freeze up in less than 30 days, and I sent it back right away. I brought a gaming laptop which seems to be built like a tank and is well vented weighing like a tank, but hopefully it will last through the battle of the war of use like a tank.

    2. M. Z (verified owner)

Lightening fast gorgeous laptop – Boots up in seconds. Handles MS Office, photo editing, online applications instantaneously. SO LIGHT, battery life is astonishing. Best computer I’ve ever used.

    3. B. T (verified owner)

Best portable productivity laptop – I bought the original LG Gram 17 back in 2019 and loved it. I didn’t really need the upgrade as the old one was still great, but I like to upgrade and sell my old laptops/phones while they still have value.

      A little disappointing – Pros:

    6. K. N (verified owner)

Great, but having some issues – This laptop is fantastic in so many ways — the keyboard is very pleasant to use, thanks to its 1.65 mm travel, so much better than the Dell XPS, in my opinion, which is just too short at 1.3 mm. I love the matte finish to the screen, and it’s got great color. I was worried that the resolution would be too low for a 17″ screen, but text is super sharp–I can’t tell the difference between this and a 4K screen. And the laptop is really quiet and battery life is great. And the weight — it’s so amazing! It’s so much lighter than the XPS, whose discreet graphics I don’t need, and it’s just so much easier to live with. I’m just having this horrible problem with the trackpad — when I type a bit and then try to tap on the trackpad to insert a cursor or double tap to select something, it often just won’t register my inputs. I tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, and the thing just ignores me. Either I wait a few seconds and it starts to register my taps again, or else I try tapping in a different area of the touchpad, which pretty consistently gets it to function normally again, or I just give up and use the physical trackpad button. It’s massively frustrating, seems to happen a good 30-50% of the time I go to tap, enough so that I have to return this laptop. I use Word a lot, so that’s where i notice this issue the most, but it might be happening in other programs, too. I don’t know if this is a driver issue for the trackpad, but I haven’t seen it mentioned in any professional reviews so far, so I’m skeptical. Maybe a corrupted driver? I might try to reinstall it and see if it fixes the issue, but otherwise I’ll have to exchange the unit — I really hope the replacement unit doesn’t have this issue, because it’s such a great laptop for me in so many ways. My only other complaint about it is that the processor feels a little pokey sometimes in terms of responsiveness. Maybe they should have gone with an AMD processor, which could have kept the laptop cool but offered more performance. But I’d live with the slight pokiness if the trackpad issues would just get fixed.

No backlight keyboard – All good, I just couldn’t expect that this level of product from LG wouldn’t have a backlight keyboard, that is sorely missed.

    8. C. Z (verified owner)

Thin and light, quick to power on – I have two this one and a similar one with slightly lees memory, bought it first and then after using it a bit, bought this one

    9. P. A (verified owner)

Very light, nice 17″ screen, Backlit Keyboard, Poor Home and End button placement – It is very nice to have a 17″ keyboard in such a light and compact package. One of the unfortunate trade-offs that really affect my productivity is the placement of the Home and End keys. I use both extensively and also use the number pad extensively and not having separate keys for Home and End away from the number pad really slows me down.
