These are so great, I love them. I should have bought them years ago – Nothing

Bought as a gift – So my hubby has always wanted to fly, so I got this and more for a little computer simulation flying. He seems to like it. It was cheaper here than on the companies website at the time I bought it. Keeps my hubby happy and busy, so I like it.

When you setup the brakes make sure you reverse the left brake pedal. – I use the rudder pedals for DCS world steam addition to fly the P51D mustang in VR. I use the VR touch controllers for the stick pitch, roll, yaw, throttle, propeller pitch, landing gear, and all the nobs and switches in the cockpit. So, I don’t need a joystick

Nice… but feels weird – Recently started my actual Private Pilot Certificate flight school and decided to give MSFS a try. Loved it and immediately recognized the learning potential, but the xbox controller wasn’t cutting it. So I invested in the Logitech Yoke (reviewed separately… spoiler alert… I love it) and rudder pedals (matching pair, right?). Unfortunately, while the pedals do work and add a layer of reality, they are very wonky to use. Let’s review:

Brought DCS to another level! – Great pedals! I flew flight sims for years with the twist grip on the joystick for rudder control. Finally decided to get pedals and the flight sims are now on another level. These are considered entry level pedals. They are sturdy and accurate. I’ve been using them for a few months now and have no complaints. Has rudder functions and independent toe brakes. Tension is adjustable. There is a bit of a learning curve on using them. It took me a week or so to get used to using them until it became second nature. Very affordable vs the WinWing or Virpil or the high end TM pedals. You can spend $450 plus or $170 for these and get the same results. I was able to put screws into the floor to hold them in place. (Man cave…Not in the house) That is the only downside to these is that they will slide if not up against something. There are rubber feet on the bottom but I don’t know how they would perform on a tile or wood floor. They will slide on carpet hence the screws in the floor but they are exactly where I want them.

Good Rudder Pedals for the price! – These rudder pedals are good for the price. There isn’t much metal to the product and you can mount it on a base. You can adjust the friction really easily.

An Easy Recommend – Overall, this was a great buy. I do a lot of simming, primarily in DCS World, and this was mainly because helicopters. Holding a joystick twist in place in a helicopter that doesn’t have pedal trim gets really fatiguing and painful after a while. For $140 US, totally worth it. The next best deal would be the pedals from VKB. But as they don’t have toe brake axes, nope. Sorry, I can’t justify $215 for literally one axis. But I am pleasantly surprised with these. They heavy enough plastics, and I have taken them all over the place with me and they have proven durable. They are, so far, accurate enough for my applications. A few things I do take issue with though: The toe forces are too soft. You have to concentrate at first not to accidentally apply the brakes. Eventually muscle memory solves this. Also, there is a bit more “stiction” in center than I’d like. There’s a pretty aggressive detent feeling in the middle, which means you are going to want to apply some dead zone and certainly some strong curves for the initial movement because popping out of center could otherwise be too much input. Last gripe is the floor mounting solution. They provide these extension blocks that generally work well to just push against the wall. But otherwise, you have holes so you can screw to something, or excessively strong and large velcro strips. Gripes aside though, I have many hobbies and interests that cost money. Particularly if you do not fly a realistic helicopter sim, you really do not need anything fancier for your feet. I’m a real pilot, and in a real jet, you just don’t use the rudder all that much. Take off, landing, and when an engine goes. That’s most of it. I spend a lot more time lately flying helicopters in DCS, and they’re still just fine with the right tweaking of settings.
