Someday you won’t be able to buy these, so get a pack now. – I have a working double auto reverse JVC cassette deck and for a laugh I make mix-tapes just like I did in the 80s and 90s. Ridiculous of course, but what the hey, I’m retired so just having a little fun with the olde-tyme tech. Were else can you get Beethoven so close to The Beatles and The Stones. I would prefer a higher quality tape, but those are way too expensive for just goofing around. These will be OK with Dolby Noise reduction. Be sure to watch your recording levels, too low or too high are both bad. And don’t change direction rapidly when using any tape. Stop the tape, then reverse (if your cassette player will play in both directions.) Oh yeah, and avoid silent passages, you will hear tape noise, unless you still have a cassette player in your car, in which case you won’t hear tape noise above the car, road and wind noise.

Reliable and Durable – These Maaxell tapes are very good for everyday uses, such as home recording of music or voice. The 90-minute format allows for lengthy recordings, yet the tapes are not brittle as 120-minute cassettes tend to be. I have used these tapes extensively and their performance and durability have always been excellent.

Works perfectly – I haven’t had all the experience in the world with these but I haven’t had any problems and the sound on them are great too

Great for lofi recording – These aren’t going to be as clean as high bias cassette tapes, so if you’re looking for the BEST sound quality I’d go that route. I got this for tracking lofi/shoegaze guitars so these are perfect for that feel. Nice and waaaarm

Maxell Cassette Tapes Arrived When Promised in Mint Shape – I ordered these cassettes to use in my Sony hand held tape player that I purchased in the 1994, but unfortunately, something is wrong with the cassette player. I will be purchasing a new Cassette Player on Amazon. I was surprised to see so many Cassette Tape Players to choose from! No rating for sound quality because I couldn’t get my Sony recorder to record!

First tape. – I just recently got a walkman, I didn’t want to pay 40-100 bucks for my favorite bands cassette. So I decided to get a blank cassette and record it. The sound quality is the best you are going to get, it’s not bad however it does sound a little staticy. Although its staticy the nostalgic of a cassette makes up for it. The box is a rounded square, which I like more shaper edges but its cool either way. It gives you a sheet to write your songs on it. When I saw the package outside of the door I thought the tapes would be broken. I came in a thin plastic bag inside another thin bag. However when I opened it they were fine. If you want your bands cover album on the front your going to have to print it. Once you get it all set up, its the best thing ever. It does take some time to record but it’s totally worth it.
