This thing is a serious joy to use! – I’ll start by saying that I’ve been using this as a secondary device. I have a data sim in it and use it in conjunction with an iPhone mini. So as a singular phone I can’t speak to its functionality but I’ve been using it to text on messenger, browse social media and stream content.

At this price it’s a cool toy, but I can”t imagne using this as my main phone – Beach Camera did a great job. It got here quickly and in great shape = it is obviously an unlocked, new unit and everything works fine. At the price of a little over $300 it makes a fantastic toy – but keep in mind that Microsoft obviously never spent a moment thinking about using this as a phone. It’s delicate as all get out with 4 glass surfaces and a USB C charger port that will break if you look at it the wrong way. Forget about trying to find a case that will work on this since in order to use the camera or to use it as an actual phone you have to fold it – which a case prevents you from doing. Although it seems like it has improved some the touch sensitivity is nothing to write home about, and its now on Android 12 so the software is not too buggy (although they did not implement the 12L taskbar system). Compare to the Samsung fold 4 which is very usable as a phone and a tablet the duo is half baked, but the fold is 2k whereas the original duo is $320 odd dollars. At this price it makes a great Kindle reader and a fun toy to play with. Just make sure you have a real phone for when you have to make phone calls.
