I tried all the cheap substitutes & had nothing but problems – Yes, I tried to save some money. 1st set of off-brand 4 color LaserJet replacement cartridges did NOT even function, however seller did send new ones that “functioned”. They actually looked good for a while, then surprise — even just black/white printing/coping I had primary colors (not blended) being deposited on the paper. Cleaning each cartridge did not resolve it. I continue to use them and found that the color deposits would happen with one color, then a different color over time. Nope, I was not moving my printer around so the powder would shift. Actually the issue was across the entire width of the page &/or just down the page. Very random, very frustrating. In short, I replace with HP Original & it’s like I have a new printer, with no issues after extensive use!

Not getting the colors I should be – I’m pretty un-happy with this batch of toners. I’m still at 90% full and the color quality is very poor. Reds don’t seem red, orange doesn’t seem bright, and brown doesn’t seem to show up where its brown on my photos. I’ve downloaded and updated my HP printers firmware and deleted and re-installed the printer drivers.

Expensive – Who wouldn’t like the HP brand? Sure it’s great, but HP forced me to buy their brand of toner, they shut my printer down. I was using another brand for over a year, that was less expensive. HP just stopped telling me the chip in the toner was not HP.
