Very happy for my child’s first tablet – I bought this tablet for my 5yo to have on 10 hr drive to the beach. It comes with a thick, sturdy case with an attached kick stand for hands free watching. It can make calls and has a camera too! It came with it’s own charger too so I don’t have to share the others. It was simple to set up. It was a little confusing how to set up a child’s account & link it to a parent’s via Google but that isn’t regarding this tablet. Once we got that done, we very easily were able to complete the set up. It uses the android system so I was familiar with how to navigate the system. I am very happy to give him this for his first tablet!

It was a little bit of an adjustment as we are an apple family but once we got used to the controls and play store it was super easy. Start up was super easy and it came charged and ready to go. Great – So far so good! I needed to get a new one as my other had been broken. What better than to get an updated version. You can connect your google play account as it is an android tablet. Perfect for kid learning games. The screen isn’t too big or too small. Their are parental controls, a micro sd slot, and a headphone jack. The camera works well, you can video call which is nice because we have family in other states. The battery lasts decent as long as it’s not left on apps sitting around. The protective case it already comes in is thick and keeps it safe when dropped and it also has a stand attached to the bottom.

I didn’t want to set it up so I couldn’t check much else, but I read the instructions for “FamilyGroup” the parental control app, and it sounds pretty nice. You can do video calls, and it said you monitor your child’s activity remotely from your phone which is very convenient. I wish the Fire tablet had that feature for parental controls. Excited for my nephew to receive it!
