Old models were better; but buying the 64mb model instead – Hate saying it, but the older models were better. A change has been made so that you cannot format the sd card to be internal storage. This means you cannot move any apps to the sd card, and I have yet to figure out any way to install apps directly on the sd card. The 3 main “app-moving” apps would install but would not work on this tablet model. I bought this tablet with 32gb because I knew I was buying a 256mb sd card, so I did not need the 64mb tablet. Wrong. I’m almost at 75% of the internal storage and I’ve had this tablet for only 1 week. So you need to consider all this, too, when you update your firmware. It’s possible on the older models Samsung updates your firmware so you can no longer format your sd card as internal storage. My bluetooth keyboard and stylus pen worked fine on this tablet and there was no trouble pairing them. My phone will not sync or work with this tablet–even though my phone is a Samsung Galaxy Express. I have Consumer Cellular service, though, so maybe that is why. Other comments said their phone worked with this tablet and there were several review videos that said to buy the bigger sd card and don’t worry about the 32mb. So sometimes even when you do your due diligence before purchasing, you might be disappointed. I bought mine “renewed” so I got it half price; I’m keeping this model. However, I am returning this 32mb and spending the extra $30 to buy the 64mb model. If I had been warned about this major change in sd card storage before hand, it would have saved me alot of time and trouble.

Only lasted 95 Days – The tablet looked and worked fine for 95 days, exactly 5 days past the 90-day guarantee. After that, the screen developed a hairline crack and the sound stopped functioning entirely. Disappointing.

Big order for classroom/student use. – Ordered 12 tablets, came packaged well. No problems in clearing customs on international shipping. Checked over each one, all were already factory reseted upon 1st power on. No cosmetic, or visual defects. Doesn’t seem to be much bloatware as Samsung is notorious for in the past. Only gripe I have is the default power cable feels way too short as it can barely reach the desktop at a sitting position from a plug that is directly underneath on the floor. For the value 32gb is a bit outdated for the price of memory now in days so 4 stars on value. But so far so good after a few days. Ordered an additional 6 on the way. Maybe will update after heavy student use in a month to see how they hold up.

You get what you (don’t) pay for – Save some money by purchasing a ‘renewed’ unit, but take your chances that the item may not work or look like a new one. The first one I got powered itself on, but the touch screen did not work at all. I could force it to turn off with the buttons, but it turned itself right back on and just ran the battery dead. It was replaced per the warranty, but the second unit had cosmetic damage in three places on the metal back that was visible beyond arms length. I waited four days to get the functioning unit that Amazon Prime promised in one day. Not happy with this purchase, but not dissatisfied.
