Zotac rocks! – Fantastic! I’m not a heavy gamer, but I do stream lots of Netflix, youtube, also watch tv using my Hauppauge usb tv dongle. Effortless 1080p, even 4k at 144fps! Beautiful, brilliant colors, depth, contrast, no artifacts or other annoyances on both Windows 10 and Linux Mint Debian 5 at default settings. Except maybe the fan it’s a tad noisy. But when I’m blasting music/videos, my bitcoin miner fans are spinning or the house AC is on the Zotac’s fan is a non-issue. I sometimes use my office as a recording studio for voice overs, voice acting and on rare occasion I pretend to sing. So I’ll need to tinker with fan settings eventually. My previous desktop used a passively cooled Zotac which was quieter, but I don’t know if that option is still out there as GPU’s continue to be more and more powerful. Fit perfectly in my HP 590-p0024, which I had previously upgraded to a 400w psu (proprietary form factor that I had to buy direct from HP), removed the hard drive, added 3 SSD’s and an AX wifi card with external antenna. With the Zotac card and everything else running I’m still using less than 120w most of the time. Wrote this review after several hundred hours of burn in & card is still going strong. I’ve had great luck with Zotac products in the past, and I’m confident this one is just as solid. Highly recommended!

The standard for graphics cards – The 1650 is now the most common card used by players on Steam and there’s a reason for that. For the money, you won’t find a better card. Installing this thing was so easy. Literally just slide the old card out and the new one in. I replaced a GT1030, which struggled with even medium settings at 1080p. This 1650 is able to run absolute MAX settings at 1080p and produces 60-90 fps with ease. The FPS is so smooth. I’m playing titles such as Dragon Quest XI, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Trials of Mana, Monster Hunter Rise and others at highest settings and getting no less than 60 fps. This card is the best investment you can make for the price. I went from sub 20 fps with my old card to 100 fps in some games with this. You won’t be disappointed. I researched for 6 months before I finally bought one and this was the best choice ever. 1000 stars. Now I can purchase any game without concern for whether or not my PC can handle them.

Worked great for 2 years before retiring it – No complaints, nice entry level card for 1080 gaming. It’s $5 more today than I bought it for 2 years ago… Used it in a Dell system that has low power/size requirements. Unless constrained by that, buy a Radeon 6600 instead – runs circles around this card for a few bucks more.

OK to use with Ubuntu 22.04.1 with some cautions – I’ve been using Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 OC 4GB GDDR6 with 3 monitors: Left: 1920×1080 flipped vertically, middle: 2560×1080, right: 2560×1080 for 20 days now. I noticed that trying to install NVidia driver 470 would result in unmet dependencies error: sudo apt install nvidia-driver-470; I installed driver 515 and it has caused Youtube and Netflix video on Chrome 105.0.5195.125 to lag or pause for 0.5 second every 10 seconds. Also lagged on Firefox. It’s frustrating as audio does not lag or pause. I install driver 520 and rebooted. So far the lagging does not happen. I had to disable hardware acceleration in Chrome;otherwise, Chrome would freeze up once every 3 days. However, the open source Chromium does not freeze up with hardware acceleration turned on.

Better than I expected – I was surprised from the performance difference from my old gpu to this one. It is a good deal for the performance. You can play most recent games with 60fps as long as you don’t play on high or ultra. If you can afford a 3050 or around there I would recommend that but otherwise this would be a go to.

Paired with Old AMD FX 8310 CPU overclocked to 3.8GHZ – Ok, this version does not use a pcie port to power, i put that away snuggly. It just sits in the slot period.
